Our ideal candidate

Hold a degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science or related field or equivalent industry experience

Effective management of relationships across all levels of the organization and with internal & external stakeholders

Analytical understanding with the ability to solve problems

Ability to prioritize several tasks and diverse workload

Hand-on learner with ability to acquire new knowledge and skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, PL/SQL, networking solutions and troubleshooting

Knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)

Knowledge of remote access tools (e.g. Windows Remote Desktop, PC Anywhere, VNC)

Demonstrated commitment to safety, attention to detail and critical thinking

Must be willing and able to work shift work (including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays)
Your role in our team
Working as part of a cross functional team you’ll primarily support daily operations by using real time system monitoring and root cause analysis to maximise system uptime, ensure productivity benchmarks are achieved (or exceeded) and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll utilize in-house and industry IT solutions to collaborate with our team and that of our customer to address faults, escalate issues and drive performance. You are analytical, outcome driven and proactive in nature.
The software developer in Lifetime Support is responsible for the long-term support and further development of software solutions in existing customer systems. They analyze and resolve software issues, coordinate change requests with customers and internal departments, and develop and implement requested software change requests. They also support new employees during their onboarding and act as an interface between customers, project management, and other internal departments.

Ensure system performance through system monitoring on WMS / WCS applications and IT / Database systems (database server, server, network)

Provide technical second level support for colleagues and users

Create and analyze reports and conduct statistical trend analysis

Maximize system availability

Perform system monitoring (e.g. order cycle, pick performance, material flow)

Coordinate with third party companies where necessary (e.g. Hewlett-Packard)

Manage system-generated fault and performance escalation to Level 3 Specialists
-
Compose and maintain effective technical documentation (e.g. training material, technical specification)
-
Conduct thorough specification vs. performance analysis and identify deviations and exceptions
-
Review and realign “Top Ten” system improvement ideas
-
Design and execute continuous improvement projects
-
Software maintenance of existing customer systems – Development, testing, and installation of updates, bug fixes, and optimizations to existing software solutions.

Problem analysis and troubleshooting – Identification and resolution of software issues in existing systems to ensure smooth operation.

Coordination of change requests with customers - Clarification, coordination, and documentation of customer requirements for software changes.

Collaboration with internal and external interfaces
-
Close coordination with project management, support teams, and customers to resolve technical challenges.

Performing tests and quality assurance for software updates and changes
