Technical Service Specialist
Join WITRON as a Technical Service Specialist!
As a Technical Service Specialist you will be responsible for helping facilitate the maintenance of an automated material handling system at all our US sites. In this position, you will mentor and coach the site maintenance teams and provide support to the Maintenance Manager in the day-to-day operations of the system. This is a hands-on position that requires a commitment to be present to the floor and be available as a subject matter expert in the repair and preventive maintenance routines. The Technical Service Specialist will travel extensively to our active Sites in the U.S.
Pay: $70k-$90k
As a Technical Service Specialist you will:
- Participate in a broad array of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.
- Guide, mentor, instruct and develop electromechanical technicians in the effective preventive and ad hoc maintenance of mechanical and electrical system for proprietary automation systems.
- Support Maintenance Managers in the communication and implementation of new or updated maintenance standards and processes.
- Partner with maintenance teams to review, analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to functioning proprietary warehouse material handling system
- Provide frontline leadership on the execution of extensive projects related to the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of proprietary automation systems
Skills.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in a relevant electrical and/or mechanical role. Construction experience is preferred but not required.
- Associates degree in industrial technology or electronic engineering and experience working with material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Experience maintaining material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment strong preferred.
- Strong electrical (3-Phase, 480V, DC and 24V controls) and mechanical skills
- Familiarity with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors/gears)
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
- Familiarity with control technology (PLC/controls/inverters)
- Knowledge of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring
Physical Requirements:
- Adaptability to temperature changes in an ambient distribution center
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods; bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50-60 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights up to 90 feet
