Mechatronics Technician
Join WITRON as a Mechatronics Technician!
Salary Range: $60k-$70k
The Mechatronics Technician is responsible for the completion of on-site support, maintenance, refurbishment, and installation of electromechanical equipment at customer locations. Technicians are responsible for inspecting existing equipment providing feedback to the customer for actual condition of their system as well as provide a recommended action plan to properly maintain the machinery. Technicians are also responsible for refurbishing, repairing, and testing existing electromechanical machinery as well as installation of new equipment.
As a MechatronicsTechnician, you will:
- Approach all tasks and situations with a Safety First mindset
- Participate in a broad array of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision
- Assist in the installation of new or refurbishment of existing system components
- Perform electrical and mechanical inspections and generate reports based on findings and manufacturer requirements.
Education & Experience:
- Required: High school diploma with at 1-2 years experience in relevant electrical and/or mechanical role
- Preferred: Associates degree in industrial technology or related field with 2-4 years experience in relevant electrical and/mechanical role
- Experience maintaining material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment strongly preferred
Requirements:
- Strong electrical (3-Phase, 480V, DC and 24V controls)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- General knowledge with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors/gears)
- Familiarity with control technology (PLC /controls/inverters)
- Knowledge of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring
- Comfort working with wide assortment of computer systems (Microsoft Office Suite, proprietary system monitoring programs, etc.)
- Ability to work in team environment as well as alone.
Scheduling & Travel:
- Must be able to work all shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Travel up to 90%
Physical Requirements:
- Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing
- Working at heights of up to 80-100 feet wearing fall-arrest gear and other PPE
- Lifting, pulling and pushing up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Working in ambient, fresh (34°F), and frozen (-15°F) conditions
